Our client based in Wigan is a manufacturer of electrical goods, Sockets, lighting and large fuse box products. We are URGENTLY looking for an Production Assembly Worker to assist at their site in Hindley Green.

The successful candidate will be required to have 2 years+ Production Assembly experience within an electrical or mechanical or furniture type assembly line environment.

They will also need to have had experience in stock movement, stock rotation, stock taking, re-packing and other associated tasks.

There is also opportunity for overtime and these hours will be paid at inflated rates depending on the day. The role will be to carry out all aspects of Production Assembly in the factory.

Working to high quality and ensuring that the finished product passes the relevant standards.

Key tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Working to engineering drawings
  • Assembly of domestic electrical units and plug sockets
  • Understand project to be completed
  • Use of Manual Hand Tools and Small Mechanical Tools
  • Working towards targets to achieve rewards i.e. vouchers or cash bonus

Working hours: 36.5 hours per week

Monday to Thursday 07:00-15:30 and Friday 07:00 – 11.30am

Hourly rate: £9.02 per hour

Weekend pay rate: £18.04 per hour
