- 4 on / 4 off shift pattern
- 2 x Days: 7:00am – 7:00pm
- 2 x Nights: 7:00pm – 7:00am
- 75 minutes paid breaks
About the Role
We are recruiting for a permanent Machine Operator position with a well-established FMCG manufacturer in Wigan. This role is ideal for candidates seeking long-term career stability, with excellent training and progression opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor automated production machinery
- Work to strict food, hygiene, and GMP standards
- Carry out quality checks to maintain product standards
- Support machine changeovers and minor adjustments
- Identify and report faults to minimise downtime
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and hygiene
- Work collaboratively to achieve production targets
Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years’ FMCG experience (food, hygiene, or pharmaceutical)
- Experience working in fast-paced production environments
- Understanding of GMP and food safety standards
- Good literacy, numeracy, and basic PC skills
- Reliable with a strong attendance record
