Our client, a leading manufacturer of electrical goods, is looking to recruit Assembly Operatives to join their growing team based in Hindley Green, Wigan.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company offering long-term work, overtime opportunities, and a positive working environment.

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 3:30pm
• Friday: 7:00am – 11:30am
• 36.5 hours per week
• Overtime available, including weekends

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling electrical components and products whilst working to engineering drawings and quality standards.

Duties will include:

• Assembly of domestic electrical units and plug sockets
• Working from engineering drawings, diagrams, and written instructions
• Using manual hand tools and small mechanical tools
• Carrying out product checks to ensure quality standards are met
• Working towards production targets
• Stock movement and stock rotation
• Stock counting and stock taking
• Re-packing products as required
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area
• Following all health and safety procedures

Candidate Requirements

• Previous assembly experience within an electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, or furniture assembly environment would be highly advantageous
• Ability to read and follow instructions and engineering diagrams
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity, as some components are small
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently

Pay Rates

• £13.45 per hour
• Overtime paid at time and a half
